Jamaica Fried Bammy is a traditional cassava flatbread. Traditionally Bammy is served with Escoveitch Fish, this has been changing over recent years. Some prefer to have it as a snack with cheese, Ackee & Saltfish or by itself. It’s just a delicious treat.
Remove Bammy from the pack. Cut Each Bammy in 2 Halves. You should have 8 pieces of bammy.
Place bammy into a deep bowl and pour the milk onto the pieces of bammy covering them. Move pieces around just to make sure each piece is soaked evenly. Soak for 10-15 minutes.
Place a skillet or dutch pot on the stove add oil and heat oil over high heat.
Drain excess milk from each piece of bammy and place in the pot. Fry 5 minutes on both sides until golden brown.
