Plain language. No surprises.
Lifehabi is an editorial magazine. We treat your information the way we treat our writing: with care, and only as much of it as the story needs. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to remove it.
When you subscribe to the newsletter or write to us, we collect what you give us: your email address and the contents of your message. When you visit the site, our hosting provider receives the usual web request information (IP address, browser, the page you requested) for routing and basic analytics.
We do not sell your data. We do not run hidden trackers. We do not build a profile to target you with personalized advertising across the web.
We use simple analytics to count visits and understand which stories readers spend time with. Where required, we ask for consent. You can block our cookies in your browser; the site will still work.
Subscribing puts your email on a list we use to send the Sunday Letter and occasional editorial notes. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe. Use it whenever you like; we will remove you the same day.
Sponsored pieces are labeled. They follow the same editorial standard as our other work. Affiliate links may appear in some pieces and are disclosed. See our editorial guidelines for the full picture.
Only as long as the purpose requires. Newsletter records are kept while you are subscribed and for a short grace period after you unsubscribe. Contact-form messages are kept for as long as the conversation is ongoing.
You can ask us what we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time.
We use a small number of trusted third parties to deliver the site and the newsletter (hosting, email delivery, analytics). They are bound by their own privacy commitments and only see what they need to do their job.
If we make a material change, we will note it here with a date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Write to [email protected] with any questions about this policy or your data.
